Here’s What to Take and Why

Why should I take it?

Glutathione is a master antioxidant that our bodies produce for cellular immune function. When we have a sufficient amount of glutathione in our bodies we can properly fight off viral infections, reduce viral replication and decrease the transmission of the virus from one cell to another* (Cai J, et al. Free Radic biol Med. 2003 Apr ; 34(7):928-36.)

EVN Recommends:

  • Trizomal Glutathione

A liposomal formula that includes 3 ways to increase glutathione levels in the body. It also includes N-acetylcysteine (NAC) which increases immunity to influenza-like symptoms* (De Flora S, et al. Eur Respir J. 1997 Jul;10(7):1535-41). It has a tart pineapple flavor and is family friendly.

Why should I take it?

This blend of zinc, vitamin C, vitamin A, L-lysine and pantothenic acid (B5) plays a major role in strengthening immune function, provides support for immune challenges, and helps maintain a normal inflammatory balance. Botanicals added to this blend prime your immune system. They include:

  • Black elderberry extract which has been shown to support healthy cytokine production, the cellular pathways used to eliminate foreign invaders such as viruses. (Isr Med Assoc J 2002;4(11 Suppl):919-22.)
  • Astragalus membranaceus is native to northern China and has been traditionally used to strengthen the immune system. (Curr Med Chem 2004;11(11):1423-1430.)
  • Echinacea purpurea Extract is a perennial herb that has been used for centuries in Native American medicine. Current research has supported echinacea’s clinical applications as this botanical has been the subject of more than 300 scientific studies. Echinacea activates multiple aspects of immune function. (Biochem Pharmacol 2000;60:155-158.)
  • Andrographis paniculate is a plant that has been used in Asian medicine for centuries and has been reported to provide strong antioxidant support due to its ability to activate highly protective antioxidant reactions. (Mol Biol Rep 2008; 35:535-540.)

EVN Recommends:

  • Viracid

Works hand in hand with Trizomal Glutathione to help prevent or lessen flu-like symptoms.

Why should I take it?

Turmeric has many functions, the active compound “curcumin” supports the immune system by reducing inflammation and increasing the cells ability to fight foriegn invaders. Turmeric also supports antioxidant activity which helps keep our immune system primed.

EVN Recommends:

An emulsified liquid that is highly absorbable and contains a concentrated amount of active curcumin compounds per tsp. And has a pleasant orange flavor and is family friendly.

Why should I take it?

Resveratrol inhibits inflammation, has been shown to help maintain glutathione stores in the body and has protective and restorative effects on lung health. Resveratrol also preserves mitochondrial health and studies have shown it can prolong cellular survival after a viral infection. (LIN SC, et al. BMC Infect Dis. 2017 Feb 13;17(1):144.)

EVN Recommends:

  • Resvero Active

An emulsified liquid that is highly absorbable and contains a concentrated amount of active resveratrol compounds per tsp. It has a pleasant coconut-pineapple flavor and is family friendly.
